Annapurna trekking in Nepal is acclaimed as one of the best trekking in the world. It spreads around five districts (Kaski, Myagdi, Mustang, Manang, and Lamjung). Beginning at an altitude of 790m, the area reaches as high as 8091 m Mt. Annapurna with the lake at the highest altitude in the world known as Tilicho Taal (4919 m).

Winding river valleys of Marshyangdi river and Kali-Gandaki river are among the richest in Nepal for the biodiversity, starting with subtropical climate to Alpine and Trans-Himalayan (rain shadowy) part of Nepal. Annapurna region inhabits 102 different kinds of mammals including rare snow-leopard, and blue sheep; 478 species of birds including endangered species Impeyan pheasant and Blood pheasant; 39 species of reptiles; and 22 species of amphibians are recorded to the date. The region is very popular as the Valleys of Flower during July & August which is the season for Blue Poppy – Meconopsis. 

Socio-ethnological diversity is equally vibrant in Annapurna trekking routes. The trek begins with the Brahmins’ hymns whilst climbing the uphill trail for the Buddhist chants, and walks down with a fusion of the colourful cultures of Thakali, Gurung and Magar more ethnic communities in the naturally rich mountain valleys.

The most popular trekking routes in the region are: Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Sanctuary (ABC ), Ghorepani Circuit,  Jomsom –  Muktinath, Annapurna Serenity-Mulde Peak and Ghorepani-Mohara Dada. Moreover Annapurna Base Camp or Gorepani Circuit can be combined  with Mardi Himal Trek if the trekkers feel like extending their itinerary.

The shortest itinerary is Ghorepani Circuit-6 days, and the longest trek is the Annapurna circuit for 21 days. The trek can be operated all year round if trekkers are fine with rainy season starting from June to mid-September.
